As to me, traditional sight means the arranging the sight chronologically – the viewer is no longer confined by the current situation of eternality, instead, they move with the contents on the stationary picture. In other words, in traditional vision, viewing itself is controlled and constructed by conception. However, I want to set up a kind of sight which emphasizes physical sense and bare eye ball’s view. According to Michel Foucault, “It is a kind of pure sight beyond all kinds of interference. There is no alternation when capturing direct materials”. [1] I believe it has some advantages and is detached with the non-visual things, so it can focus on viewing.The purity of sight is connected with some kind of silence because only silence can make it listen. The so-called silence means to get rid of the interference of theories, ration and imagination. That means to delete the imaginative and lingual symbols or icons. I want my works to be simply and pure. The only thing that happens in my works is going back to the origin – talking with my heart with pure colors, lines and expressions. Of course, it also includes your vision experience on the works. That is, the watched pictures are the expression of my silent words, but the expression is not reflected in the words. Instead, it is in the lines, shapes and colors, splitting the words and the things and unveiling the appearance.
